Ride horses in Phoenix, AZ with our Southwest cowboys in our optional gear of boots, hats and chaps that we provide. Be a kid again on our gentle horses as you ride through the spectacular Sonoran Desert in the hills north of Phoenix, Arizona.

These horseback rides offer great views of the desert as well as Phoenix. Cave Creek Trailride's Cowboys and Cowgirls will give you the mining history of the area, both of Cave Creek and Phoenix, Arizona and educate you on the unique desert flora and fauna.

Step back into history for a taste of what life must have been like on horseback in Phoenix and Cave Creek, Arizona 150 years ago.

Cave Creek Trailride Descriptions

1 hour ride: $35.00/person + tax - This is our easiest ride which goes around the southern end of a hill with not much elevation gain. Daily at 9:00, 11:00, 1:00, 3:00

1 hour sunset ride: $45.00.+ tax - This spectacular ride put you out on the trail as the sunsets and you ride into our corral at dusk. Please call for times of this ride. A perfect way to view the desert and a world class sunset at a quiet time of the day. Call for times and additional information.

1.5 hour ride $ 45.00/person + tax - This ride as several trail options, depending upon the size and riding ability of the group.  Call for additional information.
Daily at 9:00, 11:00, 1:00, 3:00

1.5 hour sunset ride: $55.00/person + tax  Our premier ride offered at a quiet, peaceful time of the day.  Ride times vary as we want you on the horses as the sun is setting, coming in at dusk.  Call for times and additional information.

2 hour ride: $65.00 + tax with a 4 person minimum during peak seasons. This longer ride is for guests that enjoy the desert and horses.
Daily at 8:30 am & 1:30 pm

3 hour ride $85.00 per person + tax with a 4 person minimum during peak seasons, minimum age 10 years old.

Information you need to know

Minimum age is 6 years old

Complimentary pony rides for children under 6 years old

Maximum weight is 250 pounds

All rides are guided, walking horse trailrides

Because of safety, younger riders have their own horse and can be led by the guide.

By making a reservation we can guarantee you a horse for your horseback riding adventure. If you would like to stop in and chance availability please feel free to do so. Either way, please plan to arrive one half hour prior to ride start time.

We are recreation service partners with Maricopa County Parks and Recreation.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Real Money and personal checks.

$5.00 off for children 6-12 years of age. Tax is 8.8%

LOCATION
Cave Creek Recreation Area is located on 32nd Street North off the Carefree Highway mid-way between Interstate 17 and Scottsdale Road. We are located inside the park. Follow the horse symbols on the signs. Cave Creek Recreation Area offers great views of the Sonoran Desert, as well as opportunities to step back in history 150 years when mining and ranching were a way of life here at Cave Creek.

The park has a $6.00 entrance fee. Please stop and register when you enter the park. This money goes directly to trail maintenance and upkeep of the park.
