GIRL SCOUT PROGRAM DETAILS

 

COWGIRL UP & RIDE A HORSE:

Description: Have your Girl Scouts earn their Horsemanship Badge during this fun-filled program as they get to experience a scenic trail ride and hands-on horse experience! Participants will get a chance to learn all about horse cost, care and maintenance during their on-the-ground instructions. They will get the opportunity to groom and learn about horse anatomy as well as all the little details that go with owning a horse. After the ground work, the Girl Scouts will get a chance to ride their very own mountain trail horse for an hour ride through the scenic Sonoran Desert. The program will include everything needed for the Girl Scouts to earn their Horsemanship Badge.

Fee: $115.00+ tax/Girl Scout (1 leader rides free, $100.00+tax/additional adult rider) November – February

Date: Set to meet your troop needs

Time: 9AM or 12:30PM sessions. (2.5 hr program)

Capacity: You must have at least seven participants to be eligible.


RIDE ONLY

If your troop is short on time or budget, simply book a discounted horseback ride for your Girl Scouts! Our trail rides are a great introduction for beginner riders and our guides do a fantastic job of giving a detailed tutorial before each ride. The guides will then instruct throughout the ride and help each participant feel steady and sure on their gentle mountain horse.

Fee: 1 hr ride $59.00+ tax/ Girl Scout or Parent
1.5 hr ride $79.00+ tax/ Girl Scout or Parent

Time: Schedule rides for 9am, 11am, 1pm or 3pm

Horses in History

Get a chance to to ride the trails like a true western cowgirl! Spend 1.5 hours experiencing horses and history in a unique and exciting way by riding to a historic clay mine inside the Cave Creek Regional Park! Program participants will be offered a private guided trail ride
through the Go John Mountains to the small secluded clay mine tucked back in the hills. Before leaving on the horseback ride, participants have the opportunity to dress up in real western attire that includes cowboy boots, hats and chaps

Fee: $89.00+tax/ participant
